What to expect in Diss on New Year's Eve 2018

A black tie casino, a charity funk disco, and a home-coming rock gig are among the events happening in Diss on New Year's Eve.
Get your bottles of bubbly ready, because it’s New Year’s Eve, and Diss has a variety of events and parties to enjoy on the big night.
New Year’s Eve 2018 with The Easy Brothers
Touted as “the wildest funk disco dance party in all of Norfolk and Suffolk”, five-piece band The Easy Brothers are sure to play in 2019 with gusto.
Catch them on St Nicholas Street at Number 11 from 9pm till 1pm. This event is free, with all donations going towards Macmillan Cancer Support.
New Year’s Eve At Diss Cue Club
Up and coming rock band Walkway return to their hometown for their last show of the year at Diss Cue Club on Sawmills Road. Described by Status Quo as “annoyingly good”, Walkway have opened for The Darkness, Black Stone Cherry, and Slade, among others, plus had national airplay on BBC Radio Two.
Tickets are £5 each, and can be bought via the Cue Club. Tickets can not be bought on the door. Over 18s only.
New Year’s Eve at The Thatcher’s Needle
This smart black tie event at The Thatcher’s Needle on Park Road costs £20 per person, and includes a buffet, casino tables with real prizes, and music hosted by Park Radio.
Doors open at 7pm.
New Year’s Eve Ska Party
Party until 1am to a rocksteady beat at the Cock Inn’s Ska Party in Fair Green, Diss. With two-tone and ska fancy dress, entrance is via free ticket only, starting from 7pm.
Cabras at The Burston Crown
Start off 2019 with some prog rock, ska, and blues with five-piece band Cabras at The Burston Crown in Diss. Open from 6pm to 1am.
