The seaside came to the Mere side as families got to enjoyed all the fun of the beach at a new event in Diss Park.
Fun in the Sun, organised by the Rotary Club of Diss & District and Park Radio, proved to be a success with lots of beach-themed fun.
Diss Mere may not have its own sandy shoreline but a giant sand pit brought the seaside spirit to the centre of the town, with families and Park Radio mascot Parky Bear getting to enjoy pier style peep boards, circus clowns, lots of games, stalls, fire engine, police car, food and drink, bouncy castle and more.
Live in the Pavilion included singer-songwriter Anna Carter, classic rock band Back Street and jazz outfit Swervy World.
The event was designed to make up for gaps in the summer calendar left by Diss Fest, Gig in the Park and Diss Organ Festival all not happening this year.
All profits from the event are being equally divided between charities Pancreatic Cancer, The Samaritans, Dove Dementia Cafe and Genesis Housing.
