Following the success of its recent summer tours of As You Like It and Twelfth Night, acclaimed East Anglian theatre company RoughCast return to Shakespeare for its 2019 production.
Its actors will be performing Shakespeare's most magical and hilarious play A Midsummer Night's Dream at a mix of indoor and outdoor venues including Diss Corn Hall.
It is a play RoughCast, which was set up almost 20 years ago, last staged in 2005 when it completed its tour by taking it to France, something it will be doing again this year.
For its new lively and fast-moving production, RoughCast has given the tale an extra spin setting it on a sultry summer's evening in Greece, redolent of summer holidays on Mediterranean islands but also with a flavour of ancient Greece and mythological magic.
The company visited Diss Corn Hall earlier this year with its production of the evergreen boot shop-set comedy Hobson's Choice and they return with A Midsummer Night's Dream on July 25.
The tour also includes outdoor performances at Wingfield Barns on July 19, Rushall St Clement's Common on July 21, and at the Hoxne Swan Inn on July 27.
