Remembering a white Christmas holiday at Diss Mere

It wasn't a white Christmas this year — but these pictures taken in 1995 from our archive show when the festive period did turn Diss into a winter wonderland.

The period between Christmas and New Year saw a plunge in temperatures and a blanket for snow and ice descend.

However as there pictures taken in Diss in the snow on December 28 show it was not too harsh conditions with clear blue skies and sunshine.

It meant people were able to enjoy the holiday period out and about in the snow around Diss Mere and marvelling at some spectacular icicle displays.
