An award-winning nature author is giving a talk following the Annual General Meeting of Diss Community Woodland.

Patrick Barkham will be speaking at Roydon Church Parish Room, at 7.30pm on Thursday, March 14.

His latest book, Islander, won the 2018 National Geographic Traveller Magazine book of the year award.

Introducing Mr Barkham will be Richard Mabey, nature writer and broadcaster, who described Mr Barkham as “a rising star and a wonderful natural storyteller.”

The event is free to attend, although a collection will be taken, and light refreshments will be available.

Mr Barkham lives with his family near the Norfolk Broads, and is currently writing a book about children and nature.

The Diss Community Woodland Project manages Quaker Wood in Diss.
