An exotic new class will be coming to Diss next month - Qigong.

Suitable for all levels of fitness, Qigong is a Chinese system of physical exercises and breathing control related to tai chi.

Acclaimed author, biologist and animal behaviour scientist Cindy Engel of WildHealth BodyWork will be holding classes, previously held in Gissing, on Wednesdays at Palgrave Community Building from November 28, at 5pm to December 12.

Ms Engel said the classes are a ‘challenging but fun personal development towards optimal health and well-being’.

She said: “Being ‘good’ at Qigong or tai chi is not about remembering moves. But it does involve changing habitual ways of thinking and feeling, and although that is an incredibly rewarding process, it is often challenging and life long.”

No payment is required for the first session, but regulars pay £50 for a block of six.
