The Diss Auction Rooms

The Auctions Rooms of TW Gaze host over 52 weekly sales showcasing a range of diverse and interesting lots. Their knowledgeable and experienced staff make every auction experience extra special.

Diss Parish Church

A calming, welcoming and very photogenic part of Diss, the Parish Church is one of the most popular areas of the town. St Mary’s Church tower also dates from the 13th Century and has been used a place of worship for more than 1000 years.

Diss Mere

Probably the most well-known location on our list, the Diss Mere attracts visitors from all over Norfolk. Stretching over six-acres, the Mere is described as a ‘wonderful oasis in the heart of Diss’, set right in the centre of the historic market town.

Amandines Cafe

We recently reviewed this cafe, with our reporter describing it as ‘a hidden gem in Diss’. It is a vegetarian establishment offering a meat-free alternative to many Italian classics. Our reviewers sampled the popular lasagne, the hummus dipping board, and the Italian panini. Yum!

Diss Golf Club

Although this technically lies over the Norfolk border in neighbouring Suffolk, it is still known as Diss Golf Club. It was founded in 1903 and is a popular members club, promising to offer a fair challenge to all levels of golfer.

Doodle Donuts

Located on the twelfth century Diss Market, Doodle Donuts offer tasty donuts with a unique twist. Loaded with sweet treats and decorated to perfection, this is one stop you won’t want to skip when visiting the town at the weekends.

The Railway Station

Although this is not something to do as much, Diss Railway Station is most likely where you’ll start and end your time in Diss. It has good connections to both the rest of Norfolk and London too, making Diss perfect for a day-trip or even an overnight stay, and on occasion you will see historic locomotives passing their way through.

Hilary & Alice

A beautiful boutique full of gorgeous items, Hilary & Alice promise handcrafted, individual and unique homeware and furniture. They even do commission pieces as well as workshops and classes. A treasure trove for the interior-design obsessed.
